Except There Come A Falling Away

The decline of Christianity parallels the decline of America.  "We are no longer a Christian nation" - Barack Obama, President of the United States.  His words portray what has been happening to the United States.  Never mind the myriads of letters and documents from the Pilgrim's arrival at Plymouth, to America's first text book, to each states Constitutions acknowledge the God of the Bible,
Of all the writings in American History that confirm belief in the God of the Bible, there is one document of the early US that secularists and atheists have seized upon. In the face of the myriads of letters and documents of our founding era confirming that the United States was founded on faith in God, this one document, the Treaty of Tripoli, article 11, which states, "...As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."   (The provided link goes into detail concerning that alleged statement) is held up by secularists as proof that the government of the United States was founded as a strictly secular nation.

It cannot be denied that American culture revered the God of the Bible, particularly Christianity as it was common to include in the date block in those early letters and documents the statement, "In the year of our Lord..." which obviously refers to the Lord Jesus Christ.

One doesn't have to do more than look at the lyrics of America's early anthems, poems and songs to see how the Christian faith permeated society in the United States.  The last stanza of the National
Anthem, by Francis Scott Key in 1814 says this:
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Then, going up to the Civil War, these familiar lyrics were written by Julia Ward Howe in 1861:

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

His truth is marching on.
Right up to 1913 when Kathryn Bates penned "America the Beautiful."

"God shed His Grace on Thee..."   Indeed He did!  And while we're still singing these wonderful anthems - and many more, we do see a 'falling away' from those principles, and a turning away from the God of the Bible.  The courts have ruled against Christians in favor of homosexual rights, and the abortions that have taken over 60 million lives.  There is a decline in the Christian faith nationwide.  Here are the stats:
Just a short time ago, and symptomatic of the decline of America is the removal of the Ten Commandments from the Courthouse in Oklahoma, all under cover of dark.

There is a not so subtle war against people of faith, and it's getting worse.  One person is offended by a cross, a nativity scene, or a painting of Jesus, and they are removed. A baker, minister or photographer  and even a rancher loses their lively-hood to homosexuals who demand their services even though there are many alternatives to meet their desires.  The first amendment puts the practice of religious freedom the very first right, but the Supreme Court has elevated homosexual rights above the Constitution.  They have also made the woman's 'right to abortion' law to the death of an estimated 58,500,000 children. in the US.

Obama was right, we can no longer call ourselves a Christian nation.  We've turned our backs on God, so we cannot expect His protection.  We've turned to idols, because when we kick God out, that leaves a vacuum, and something else will fill it.  The rainbow was God's promise to Noah, and it has been taken over by homosexuals,  The White House was lit up in celebration of the Supreme Courts illegal decision to mandate homosexual marriage to be honored in all 50 states.

God's Sign - Holy Promise:
The defiant use of  God's holy promise to symbolize the unholy practice defining homosexuality.
When you take something holy and corrupt it, do you really count on God's protection?  Take God out of America and something else enters.  Something very evil and sinister:  And it's in New York now.   The demon goddess Kali was projected onto the Empire State Building light show.

So now we're turned from Christ to demons, we've corrupted the holy institution of marriage, which Jesus defined as exclusively ordained by God as exclusively between male and female, and we've turned to demons - Kali, with her tongue dipped in blood.  The present administration has called "good as evil and evil as good."  Thomas Jefferson gave this ominous statement:     "God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that His justice cannot sleep forever."

I do too Mr. Jefferson, I do too.

The same defiance that parallels the judgment that came upon Israel was summed up in the words of Isaiah - (Isa 9:10  "The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.")was spoken by our leaders.  This was the Harbinger that Jonathan Cahn spoke of.  The defiant words that President Obama wrote on the top beam of the Freedom Tower over ground zero.
So, is America's judgment sealed?  America is no longer a Christian nation.  We're jaded, banal and defiant. We call evil good and good, evil.  America can no longer expect the propitious blessings of heaven.  Pray for America.  It may not be too late.  George Washington
